Help others through your thoughts

You can most certainly help others through your thoughts, and they can help you. Every good thought you send to another is a living force. However, the person you are sending the thought to has to be asking for the same thing you are sending. If the person does not want it, then they are not in harmony with your thought frequency, and it will not penetrate them.

You cannot create in another's life against their will, but if it is something they want, your thoughts are a real force that helps them.

May the joy be with you,

Employing Presence - Being Present At Work

Bringing your presence into your work activities can fill the entire experience of working with new energy and life.

Being present at work begins before we even go to our place of employment. It starts with our intention to bring consciousness into everything we do, including those activities we do for money. Whether you are a secretary who files papers all day, a janitor who cleans the local high school, or a nurse caring for children, there is much to be gained by fully engaging in the tasks at hand. When you decide to bring your presence into your work activities, you may find that the entire experience of working is filled with new energy and life.

Sometimes we believe that when we step through the doors of our workplace, we cease being ourselves and start being someone else’s employee. Though our employer may depend on us to perform certain tasks, the truth is that we never stop being ourselves. The commitment to being a conscious, empowered person of integrity doesn’t stop and start with a time clock. Our decision to be present for our own lives is what weaves together all of our experiences from the moment we wake up, throughout our entire workday, and to the moment we turn off the lights at night.

Before leaving for work today, you can clear your energy and choose to step out with your best foot forward. Setting an intention in the morning can even help you stay present as your day unfolds. You might decide to find joy in every activity, complete all of your projects on time, or be truly helpful to your coworkers. By being fully present, you will begin to radiate and people may begin to notice; they may even want to follow your lead. Whether you run a company or hold a sign outside a deli, do it with pride and be the best you can be.

Simple relationship lessons from the humble goose

Next time you see a flock of Geese in the ski, just stop and marvel at the way they fly in a “V” formation.

As so often, nature offers us a key lesson in teamwork, sacrifice and community spirit.

Scientists have studied flying birds at length and have made some significant findings:-

1. By flapping its wings, each birds creates as uplift in the atmosphere for the bird immediately behind. Flying in a “V” formation allows the whole flock to fly around 71% further than if each bird was to fly on its own.

2. If a bird ever falls out of the formation, it would suddenly need to exert that much more force and realises the futility of going it alone

3. The birds taking it in turn to be at the front of the “V”. As it tires, another one takes over and the leading bird goes to the back of the flock.

4. If a goose gets sick or is wounded and has to fall out of formation, two other geese fall out with that goose and follow it down to lend help and protection. They will then stay with their buddy until he is able to fly again or dies. Only then do they launch out once again on their own, eventually rejoining the original group.

What can we humans learn about relationships from the humble geese?

Here are the lessons we can apply from today in our own lives:-

1. Have a common goal and focus

By working together as a community, you can get to where you want to faster and more efficiently.

You will be refreshed and ready to enjoy the fruits of your labour by working together.

2. Focus on one purpose

Make sure that you stick together with those people who are heading in the same direction as you.

There is strength in unity and having a common purpose.

3. Give and take

You will always get much more back by giving to others. So be open to offer others your help, and also be willing to receive help.

4. Pull your weight

Do you noble best for your crowd. So pull all your weight and take it in turns to take on demanding jobs.

Remember that you are all interdependent on each other. And you are all one.

5. Encourage others

Positively encourage the people at the front to keep going and support them with their and your joint mission.

Look for opportunities to help and support those weaker and less able than you.

6. Stick together no matter what

You must stand by each other during the good times and the challenging times.

Remember the greater good.

There you are – six some simple relationship lessons from the humble goose.

Not to decide is to decide

Letting something go until it "decides itself" is Life by Default. You don't want to live that way. So choose. Choose right now.

Stop worrying about what you can "lose" or how you can "win" and just follow your joy. Where does your joy say you should go?

Love, Your Friend....

Buddhism

A philosophy hoping to achieve enlightenment must help society progress? It promotes respect, knowledge, peace and development. What we have at the moment is the opposite.. a bunch of politicians bickering with each other does not promote peace.

Buddhist philosophy and practice, properly implemented, automatically makes one a constructive, positive contributor to any attempts to create viable proposals to mitigate the effects of climate change and peak oil, but it is unrealistic to expect everyone to become Buddhists. But, Buddhists can help by teaching, or sharing, with others their knowledge of the key coping skills of mindfulness and meditation, which helps anybody, Buddhists or not, to attain the degree of mental stability and contentment they need to cope with the enormous stresses and challenges ahead.

Love unconditionally and the 100/0 principle

http://www.100-0principle.com/

http://www.arvinddevalia.com/blog/2011/02/16/learn-to-love-unconditionally/

Mother and child unconditional love
Have you ever experienced unconditional love?
Do you even believe in unconditional love?
This is a question that has often perplexed me. If love is love, then at what point does it cease to be unconditional and becomes conditional?
Maybe we are just selfish beings and pretend to “love” others only if there is something in it for us.
Or maybe love is such an ingrained thing in us that it’s always there and there is no differentiation between unconditional and conditional love.
This is Day 16 of our “28 day Relationships Adventure” in February. You can read the previous 15 articles by following the links at the bottom of this post.
Today I want to challenge all of you to bring more unconditional love into your lives.
I experienced unconditional love for the first time many years ago during a visit to Nirvana School in South India. This was a life changing experience and led to so many changes in my life and also wonderful experiences.
Earlier today I was reminded of what’s possible with unconditional love, when I had lunch at home with a friend and her two year old son. It was fascinating to watch how mother and son interacted – I might as well have not been there as most of the time they seemed in a world of their own.
No matter what the little boy did or asked for, his mother was infinitely patient in responding and not once did she resort to a raised voice or stern telling off. She responded gently every time and this seemed to work wonders with the little boy responding delightfully – he seemed a very happy and joyous child.
Yet so often in the past I have seen parents really lose it, get impatient and scold their child when he or she shows any signs of “misbehaving”.
I am not saying that these parents are not as good at parenting as my friend; it’s just that it makes sense to respond in a gentle way and treat the child with love. After all, like us adults, all a child wants is some attention, appreciation and love.
Not having any children myself, I cannot know what sort of parent I would make but I hope I would be a loving type:-)
I once wrote an article about my father’s unconditional love for me and a reader responded that I was so lucky to have had that as not many parents are as loving. That was a shock and an eye-opener for me as I had always assumed everyone had loving parents.
Yes, granted some parents may be sterner than others or they may not be the most expressive about their love, but at the end of the day they must surely love their children.
It also works the other way around. It’s been known that even the most abused children refuse to testify against their parents because of their bond and perhaps their unconditional love.
The point is that I am guessing that all parents must love their children unconditionally, no matter what. Conversely we are able to love our parents unconditionally.
And surely that is the kind of barometer for how love can be unconditional?
Which brings me to the point of this article.
What if you could bring unconditional love to all your relationships?
Just imagine how all your relationships would be transformed! The question is can you learn to love unconditionally and if so how?
And the simple answer is – yes, you can.
You just simply choose to love someone!
The moment you choose to love someone and have no expectations in return, your relationship is transformed.  You are then able to let go of all your past prejudices, grievances, misgivings etc and you come from a new space.
You can then apply this principle to ALL your relationships.
Indeed, you can even send out unconditional love to all the random strangers you meet every day in the course of your daily life.
Stand back and watch with amazement as your whole world is transformed!
And those around you will also subconsciously get your new vibration of love:-)
Now over to you – I would especially like to hear from those of you who have children.
How do you experience unconditional love in your life? And how do you love others unconditionally?
Please share your answers below.

Here’s the Daily Exercise for Today:-

The first part of today’s exercise is for you to remember a time in your life when you truly felt unconditional love for someone. In your mind’s eye, put yourself back in this situation and remember just how wonderful it felt.
The second part of today’s exercise is a challenge for you to start sending out positive, loving vibrations to every one you meet. Actively do this with intention and certainty. And especially towards those people against whom previously you had harboured negative thoughts.
Finally, review all the key relationships in your life and reflect on where you have been withholding your love. Just decide to make your love unconditional – and do whatever it takes to raise each relationship to a new level.
And if you haven’t already done so, do check out the previous 15 articles in this series here:-

The Unseen World

Just because we can’t see something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

Just because we can't see something doesn't mean it doesn't exist, although this is a common way in which people deny the existence of spirit guides, angels, and other unseen helpers in our lives. However, anyone who has encountered such beings can attest to the fact that they do, indeed, exist, just as our breath exists, keeping us alive, even though we can't see it. The wind exists, too, but we only know this because we feel it on our skin and hear it moving the leaves on the trees. All around us and within us are things we can't see, and yet we know they are just as real as the grass beneath our feet.

What we see and don't see may just be a matter of perspective, like the ladybug who sees the leaf on which she sits, but not the tree the leaf grows on, or the person sitting beneath it. And the person beneath the tree may or may not see the ladybug, depending on where he focuses his attention. Still, all of these things, whether seen or not seen by the person or the ladybug, exist in reality. Some people are more gifted at accessing that which we cannot see, but given an open and willing heart, anyone can tune into the invisible realm and begin to find their way.

Human beings have always done this, and it is only recently that we have fallen into distrusting the existence of what we can't see. If you have lost touch with the unseen world, all you have to do is resolve to open your heart to its existence, and it will make itself known. Closing your eyes in meditation and visualization, or engaging the unseen through the written word, are just two ways to welcome the invisible back into your life. Whatever you choose to do, cultivating a relationship with that which you can't see is a time-honored human practice that can greatly enhance your life.

Reigniting your Inner Fire

You may be at the stage where your desire for a dream business is just beginning to stir in your heart and soul. Maybe you have taken a few action steps in that direction, or perhaps you have already launched and are deep in the adventure of transforming your vision into reality. Wherever you may be in your journey as a heart-centered entrepreneur, I suspect that you have some familiarity with the place we are going to explore in this article.

When I experience it, I call it a "funk." Allow me to paint a picture for you.

It is a feeling of heaviness, low energy, maybe even numbness. You struggle to stay focused and motivation is severely lacking. Instead of enjoying a creative flow, projects feel hard and stressful. Fear and anxiousness creep in.

As your sense of overwhelm and frustration builds, you wonder where on earth your passion, joy and inspiration have gone. After all, you are supposedly living your dream!

Are you with me? If so, I imagine you are more than ready to examine the following important question. As a dedicated, spirit-driven, high energy entrepreneur, what are you to do when this happens?

Well, first things first. Take a deep breath! Then another. And keep breathing.

And then remember this truth. Whenever you are feeling lost in this kind of energetic swirl, you STILL have absolutely everything you need to take generous, loving care of yourself and your dream. You can be with your experience in an empowered way, receive the rich learning that is available to you and find your way back home to your inner joy and inspiration.

I am delighted to share that the more funks I move through in my entrepreneurial journey, the more I realize the sizzling power of a few key shifts. So I invite you to consider the following when you are craving inspiration and aching to reignite your inner fire.

~ Shift from Delaying to Deciding. Lingering in the land of indecision can be an enormous energy drain. If you are a master of never ending contemplation, you know exactly what I am talking about. Given this risk, how mindful are you of ALL the decisions related to your dream that you are postponing? And can you see the price of this procrastination... emotionally, physically, financially and energetically? Remember that your inner fire burns stronger with action. You are meant to expand. Own your decision making power and be ready to enjoy the splendid energy surge that follows.

~ Shift from Critical to Curious. When we find ourselves struggling to keep our inner fire lit, we can enter the dangerous territory of self-criticism. Basically, we start beating ourselves up. And it is not pretty! We slip into judging our experience, labeling it as bad and wishing it would go away. I am certainly still working on being gentle with myself when I am visited by one of my funks. Can you relate to this fight? If so, you are most likely painfully aware of how this harsh reaction intensifies the negative vibes and locks you into the resistance and low energy. So the shift I want to offer here is curiosity. Instead of choosing judgment and being critical, you can choose radical curiosity. Simply be curious about yourself and your journey. Observe and wonder from a place of love, compassion, openness and trust. And the more curiosity you can cultivate, the more fuel you will add to your inner fire.

~ Shift from "How" to "What and Why." Obsessing about the "how" of our dream inevitably leads to a downward spiral in the arena of joy and inspiration. Before you know it, your energy has plummeted and you are immobilized. So how do you reignite yourself if you have been derailed by the dreadful "how?" Give your undivided attention to your "what and why." Reconnect to your reason and passion for being engaged in your grand adventure in the first place. What is growing your heart-centered business REALLY about? Who are you committed to BEING? How are you compelled to SERVE? From this place of clarity and conviction, you can more easily trust that your answers and resources will definitely appear as you need them. Immersing yourself in this energy of aliveness and purpose will light you back up and support you in riding the waves of inspiration once again.

~ Shift from Head to Heart. This shift is all about nurturing yourself in a way that allows you to connect more deeply with your heart and intuition. It is about shifting your focus away from the incessant mind chatter that can accompany a "funk," truly opting out of the exhausting inner dialogue that can quickly extinguish your inner fire. Be willing to engage in a genuine check in with yourself and Source. What would best serve you in releasing the struggle? How can you reclaim your natural state of joy? And as you embrace this process, never underestimate the profound wisdom and guidance that your body has to offer.

~ Shift from Forcing to Fun. How much fun are you having in your journey? Seriously. If you are noticing a lack of fire in your belly and heart, chances are you have been missing out on the fun. Without a doubt, some of my biggest lessons involve giving myself permission to play at the exact moments when fear and conditioning tell me that play is the LAST thing that is needed. Most of us have been taught to fight or force our way through our challenges, to try harder. Yet this approach fails to support us in reigniting our joy and hearing the call of divine inspiration. Truthfully, one of the best ways to tend your inner fire is to pamper your playful spirit. So I encourage you to ponder how you could play more and push less. What would it look like for you to truly let go and enjoy the sweet release?

As a final thought, I would like to offer a quote by Arnold H. Glasow that reminds us of the value of honoring our inner fire. "Success isn't a result of spontaneous combustion. You must set yourself on fire."
